Choosing vinyl and laminate
The right choice depends on the surface, campaign duration and operating conditions. The most expensive film is not always necessary, while the wrong class can lift or fail during installation.

Comparison by practical application
| Application | Suitable choice | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Promotion on a flat window | Monomeric vinyl | Campaign duration, gloss or matt finish and whether removable adhesive is needed |
| Long-term graphics on flat or gently curved surfaces | Polymeric vinyl | Substrate condition and a matching polymeric laminate |
| Vehicle with channels and complex curves | Cast vinyl | Bodywork details, installer experience and cast laminate |
| Stickers subject to touch and frequent cleaning | Vinyl for the substrate plus laminate | Cleaning resistance and matt or gloss finish |
The exact media and adhesive are confirmed for the surface and duration. See technical details on self-adhesive vinyl printing.

Examples: window, vehicle and interior wall
Seasonal window promotion. For flat glass and a limited campaign, monomeric vinyl is a practical choice. If sunlight affects readability, a matt finish reduces reflections. For outward visibility from inside, consider perforated window film instead of standard white PVC.
Passenger car with curved panels. Photographs reveal channels, trim and areas requiring heat and forming. Choose for the actual surface, not only the desired colour. Cast vinyl and its matching laminate are designed for these shapes.
Office wall. Check that paint is sound, dry and fully cured. Dust, texture and fresh paint affect adhesion. For rough walls, send a photograph before ordering instead of relying on a universal solution.
How to choose laminate
-
1
Match the class
Use monomeric laminate with monomeric vinyl, polymeric with polymeric and cast with cast. This helps the materials perform together during temperature changes and forming.
-
2
Assess wear
For outdoor use, vehicles and frequent touch, laminate protects print from scratches and moisture. A short-term indoor graphic without contact may not need it.
-
3
Choose the finish
Gloss emphasises colour saturation, while matt limits reflections. Finish choice does not replace the correct material class.
Common questions
Can one vinyl be used on every surface?
No. Glass, painted walls, plastic and vehicle bodywork have different requirements. Send photographs, dimensions and the intended duration for a specific recommendation.
Is laminate always required?
Not always. It is especially useful outdoors, on vehicles and where graphics are touched or cleaned. The choice depends on use and finish.
