PVC laminates to protect your print

Lamination covers the print with a thin clear PVC film. Graphics on shop windows, stands, vehicles and floors then last longer in sunlight and stand up to handling and cleaning.

Why laminate

Laminating printed vinyl

Laminate is a clear self-adhesive PVC film applied cold over the finished print. It protects the ink from UV light, mechanical damage, scratches and abrasion, so the graphic stays clean and the colours do not fade quickly.

The laminate is matched to the vinyl underneath: monomeric over monomeric vinyl, polymeric over polymeric, cast over cast. That way both layers stretch and age together and do not separate.

Laminate also lets you change the finish. Gloss makes colours richer, while matt reduces glare, for example on shop windows or walls facing a window.

Lamination FAQ

Is lamination always necessary?

Not always. Short-term indoor graphics often do not need it. For outdoor graphics, vehicles, floors or places that get touched a lot, we recommend it because it extends the life of the print.

Matt or gloss?

Gloss makes colours more vivid. Matt does not reflect light, so text is easier to read under strong lighting or against a window.

Can you laminate a print that was not made by you?

Ask us. We need to know the material and the ink to choose a compatible laminate.

How long does it take and how do I receive the order?

Laminated prints are made within the standard lead time of up to 3 working days, with a minimum order of 1 m². We ship with Speedy or Econt, or you collect from the studio, see delivery.
