What it is

Vinyl printing for indoor and outdoor advertising

Self-adhesive PVC vinyl is a thin film with adhesive on the back. We print it on HP Latex and UV wide format printers, trim it to size, and it sticks directly to glass, metal, plastic or painted surfaces.

There are three main classes. Monomeric vinyl is for flat surfaces and short to medium-term advertising. Polymeric vinyl lasts longer outdoors and handles gentle curves. Cast vinyl is the most conformable and is used for vehicles and complex shapes.

To protect the print from scratches, moisture and UV light, we recommend a laminate of the same class. If your graphic is lettering or a logo without a background, see vinyl cutting.

Applications

Where printed vinyl is used

Shop windows and glazing

Advertising graphics, promotions, opening hours and glass decoration. For windows you still need to see out of, choose perforated film.

Vehicles and transport

Lettering, logos and full wraps for cars, vans and buses, using polymeric or cast vinyl.

Stands and exhibitions

Graphics for exhibition stands, displays, reception desks and promotional areas.

Offices and venues

Decoration for walls, doors and furniture, and branding for offices, restaurants and shops.

Signage graphics

Information and wayfinding graphics, markings and corporate identity.

Boards and signs

Vinyl is also applied to PVC foam board and other panels to make signs.

Vinyl printing FAQ

Which vinyl should I choose for a shop window, and which for a vehicle?

Monomeric vinyl is usually enough for shop windows and flat surfaces. For vehicles with curves, long outdoor use or full wraps, polymeric or cast vinyl is used. Tell us where it will go and for how long, and we will suggest the right one.

Do I need a laminate?

For outdoor advertising, vehicles and places that get touched a lot, we recommend it. Laminate protects the print from scratches, moisture and fading. See the types of laminate.

What file format should I send?

JPEG, TIFF, PSD, CDR, EPS or PDF, without transparency or layers, at around 150 dpi at print size. More in our file requirements. If you do not have artwork, we can prepare it, see services.

What are the minimum order and lead time?

The minimum order is 1 m². The standard lead time is up to 3 working days, and express production is available on request.

Do you install the vinyl?

Yes, we apply graphics to windows, walls and vehicles on site. Finished graphics can also be shipped with Speedy or Econt, see delivery.
